ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Applicants must already be located in U.S and this role is not eliglble for sponsorhip. It is preferred that candidate be located in a commutable distance to Durham, N.C. but there may be a possibility of the role being remote in another location within the U.S.  The Global Logistics and Services Supply Chain team works within the Global Business Operations team to deliver hardware products to new and existing customers. The Transportation manager role oversees all Transportation, Brokerage, and Duty activities within the company from setting strategy and budgets to managing logistics vendors and ensuring shipments deliver on time. The role involves maintaining existing tools and processes as well as representing the team in new cross functional efforts. To be successful in this role you will be analytical, action oriented, customer focused, and cost conscious. You must be willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure predictable, cost effective delivery of products into and out of regional warehouses thru partnering with Planning and Customer Operations teams and the use of TMS.
  • Analyze drivers of global transportation, brokerage, and duty spend to identify, scope, and implement changes in process, policy, and organizational behavior to realize cost reductions.
  • Operational and commercial management of logistics partners including required RFQs/pricing events.
  • Coordinating with Finance/Accounting on matters involving budgeting, outlooking, and reporting actual logistics costs (transportation, brokerage, duties). Includes partnering with US warehouse manager on Duty Drawback and FTZ programs.
  • Maintaining a management system that ensures good health of the Transportation function thru KPI’s, training, refreshed processes and an accurate TMS system.
  • Leverage a global matrix, as well as, outsourced resources to realize goals and objectives.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

 

EXPERIENCE:

Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed by senior management. Requires strong skills in working through complex problems, visualizing and developing solutions, project management disciplines and priority setting. This role is supported by indirect staff in each region. Prior experience managing a Transportation budget, as well as, TMS highly desired.

COMPENSATION - SECTION PERTAINS TO COLORADO APPLICANTS ONLY

Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules, the following will apply to all candidates that are hired for a role in either an onsite office location in Colorado or remotely in Colorado:

  • Salary ranges are based on a good faith estimate based on a number of factors including specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role;
  • Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range and may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2;
  • Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation;
  • If performed in Colorado, the annual salary generally ranges between $115,700.00 - $156,150.00 with the opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 17% of eligible pay; and
  • We do not request prior salary information.
