ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Finance team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimal financial management, and efficient operations across Avaya. The Finance team partners across all organizations in Avaya to appropriately allocate resources, inform key business decisions, and facilitate the execution of our operational plans.

This role will be responsible for performing financial analysis and modeling, as well as analyzing, interpreting, and communicating financial information to management for Avaya’s strategic business segments.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own end-to-end planning, forecast, and reporting for key business segments, providing visibility and helping to define key topline metrics in partnership with Senior Management, Accounting, Sales Operations, and Business Operations
  • Build and enhance robust financial models through a strategic lens to highlight trends and assess current and future business risks and opportunities
  • Enhance and own various key metrics reporting, including headcount, to support business decisions and optimize resource allocation
  • Prepare and present analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management to support critical decisions for the company
  • Drive results and effectively manage various corporate level inputs
  • Drive process improvements and provide ad-hoc analyses to support the company’s growth at scale
  • Provide leadership and foster collaboration across global FP&A organization

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong experience in FP&A or similar position with emphasis on forecasting, financial analysis, and financial modeling

 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Track record of influencing leadership decisions through clear communication of complex data analysis
  • Fundamental understanding of as-a-Service business model
  • Experience thinking strategically about complex business problems, leading to recommendation and action plans
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint); including advanced functions
  • Experience with financial and ERP systems such as Adaptive Planning, Essbase, Microsoft Analytics Services, SAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial concepts
  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment, and able to operate with limited information or guidance at times
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, manipulate, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with partners at all levels of the organization

 

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:

  • BA or BS in business, finance, economics, accounting or related fields

COMPENSATION - SECTION PERTAINS TO COLORADO APPLICANTS ONLY

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $95,800 + bonus + benefits.

Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
