ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Director of Web and Digital Experience will be responsible for the global strategy and execution of the digital journey across Avaya’s digital properties. You will work closely with the leaders across our digital, demand generation, solutions, and marketing operations teams. In this role, you will manage day-to-day digital experience operations including our ten language websites, internal portals, landing pages (Eloqua) and chatbot. You will develop processes to streamline and formalize website requests across marketing teams; provide counsel to our cross-functional team as it relates to UX and digital experience, manage a team of web and content specialists to drive conversion and increase customer acquisition growth by creating compelling and high-converting digital experiences.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Web Design team members in developing wireframes, concept design mockups, and clickable prototypes to illustrate the design approach, gain stakeholder buy-in and supporting the overall journey strategy
  • Mentor a UX/UI team that conducts experience research
  • Manage design resources and external vendor partners to deliver on-time and on-budget
  • Lead UAT, manage compliance, accessibility
  • Serve as a strong UX/UI advocate for the end user, armed with quantitative and qualitative data that provides analysis and insights into ways to continuously improve and innovate the digital experience
  • Collaborate with IT and be the business stakeholder for ongoing development sprints which will include optimizations, maintenance and bug fixing
  • Build great relationships with internal clients, providing project status updates, and constantly communicating to manage and meet expectations
  • Own web program sales goals to support pipeline, revenue and drive favorable ROI
  • Responsible for unification of UX and brand consistency across external and internal sites
  • Develop scalable and sustainable web operations and project management, set priorities and effectively leverage available resources to drive business impacting results
  • Manage ongoing site optimization; A/B testing, conversion journey optimization, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Cont.)

  • Manage relationship with external agencies which can include working on UX and visual design, site optimization and new development projects
  • Work with operations and IT teams to integrate the tools in our MarTech stack
  • Lead web content strategy, web personalization and customer journey programs
  • Report web performance metrics to communicate demonstrable impact of Avaya websites on the business
  • Recommend and execute strategies to develop quality traffic to the company’s website and digital experiences, drive online traffic and conversion to sales
  • Drive the evaluation and selection of marketing technologies and automation tools that enhance the customer experience

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Mastery-level (10+ years) digital strategy experience with a focus on traffic acquisition, conversion optimization and user experience for a B2B lead generation focused website
  • Expert-level SEO both technical and content
  • B2B experience a must; SaaS and B2C experience is an asset
  • In depth knowledge of website measurement tools and platforms such as Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, preferred
  • Experience with agile development and PM methodologies
  • Experience with tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms is an asset
  • Experience with conversational UI platforms such as Drift, Intercom or chatbots, is an asset
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Keen sense of user experience, design, metrics and testing methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail and great organizational skills
  • Must have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills and be able to effectively communicate as the owner of Avaya’s digital experience
