Short Description

The Service Provider Business Development prime is tasked with the identification, recruitment and onboarding of net new US Service Provider (SP) partners that will resell Avaya solutions, and services. Recruitment and enablement efforts will initially focus on Tier 2, Tier 3 and VoIP Carriers. Expectation is that the candiate will come to the position with a distinct history of working with traditional or emerging Service Providers. The Business Development prime manages all aspects of partner engagement for targeted recruitment partners – identification, engagement, on-boarding, and activation – as well jointly defining a GTM plan that includes the full stack of Avaya solutions by generating "pull" demand through indirect sales-oriented activities to end users.

Other expectations of this role include but not limited to:

  • Drives senior partner relationships to build a trusted advisor status, creating value and influencing Avaya’s position with targeted recruitment partners.
  • Delivers maximum focus on company offerings by building relationships with high-touch and channel teams to ensure successful sales of solutions through channel partners.
  • Activates newly recruited partners within three months of partnership agreement.
  • Networks regularly with relevant industry groups and attends/presents at related industry events
  • Serves as a strategic consultant, advocating Avaya’s financial incentive programs and utilizing marketing and demand generation activities within a SP partner strategy that helps the provider shape their strategy to drive growth for both firms
  • Functions as a trusted advisor of partner principles to gain full buy-in from the partner and influence partner behavior.
