Job Description

This role delivers a wide range of activities across Avaya's Service Delivery Organization, specifically in support of a US Federal Government customer.  Responsible for management of an assigned sub-set of external spend commodities including managing vendor relationships, renewals, spend planning and authorization, as well as order management activities and contract support of a U.S. Federal Government contract. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Knowledge of company products, company functions, marketing and/or service policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Review, validate, and process tasks from customer
  • Weekly revenue and invoice tracking and reporting
  • Moves, Adds, Changes, log validation
  • Pricing support for midsize projects
  • Contract support and coordination
  • Procurement support and vendor management
  • Ability to Generate Statements of Work for technical requirements, attain business needs, and work with Procurement organization for supplier negotiations and pricing.
  • Organization for RFx activity and experience with Federal Government procurement requirements
  • Knowledge of submitting purchase orders, requisitions, accounts payable, and invoicing practices
  • Track and manage assigned commodity items using existing processes and tools. Ensure renewals are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Support monthly book close activities, coordinate with Business and Finance as directed
  • Work closely with business (budget) owners to understand requirements and partner with them for creation of optimal delivery models. Manage budgets on behalf of business owners
  • Research and analyze large/unusual costs incurred against operational budget
  • Production of ad-hoc reports and analysis as directed
Experience
  • 7-10 years’ experience and bachelor’s college degree (business / accounting / finance fields preferred)
  • 5-7 years’ experience working with or for US Federal agencies in program management or program control role
  • Required experience in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Calendar, SharePoint. Outlook
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel = pivot tables, nested IF statements, VLOOKUP, complex multi-element formulas, conditional formatting, etc.
  • Requires US Citizenship

Experience on the following tools will be added advantage

  • CostPoint version 7—procurement module, timekeeping module especially—strongly preferred, SAP (I2P module), Coupa, Essbase (optional)
