A cloud specialist role at Avaya sits at the cutting edge of Avaya’s future as we are taking our industry leading Contact Center/Communications technology into the Cloud.  This role is extremely valuable in helping our client base to understand the value in Avaya’s Cloud offerings which focus primarily around Contact Center and Unified Communications.  A person in this role will be at the “center-of-the-action” and must relish the spotlight.  We offer a very competitive base salary, monthly commissions/bonus and full benefits.  The desired skills/job requirements include:

  1. A professional demeanor and experience talking to Fortune 1000-type customers
  2. Collaboration and team-oriented skills are a must, including cross-organization.
  3. Selling the value of moving from a Capex to an Opex model.  This includes a general understanding of ROI’s as it relates to Opex consumption.
  4. An ability to present to both technical and business audiences, including executives up to the C-Suite level
  5. An in-depth technical knowledge of contact center functionality including ACD/CTI/IVR/Omnichannel/Reporting.
  6. An understanding of and ability to compare/contrast competitor offerings such as Cisco, Genesys, Nice/InContact, MS Azure, Five9
  7. An understanding of contact center roles and job functions.
  8. A general understanding of Avaya’s on-premises platforms and how those are migrated to the cloud.
  9. Serve as an intermediary between Avaya Product House and the Account Teams.  This includes ability to translate those offers and structure deals in easy-to-consume/easy-to-understand fashion for the customer.
  10. Willingness to assume an incentives-based compensation package which includes an annual quota.
  11. Willingness to travel within a 14 State territory in the upper-central United States.
  12. Five years selling cloud-based or “as-a-service” solutions with demonstrated success.








6 - 10 Years of Experience


Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
