Short Description

Role Description and Purpose

The purpose of the senior named account manage is to grow revenue and develop new revenue streams across federal government and named strategic accounts by developing actionable relationships.  It is vital to work with the sales and support teams to create strategic account plans with a deep understanding of the customer and industry.  One of the key focus areas is in creating opportunities through thought leadership, sales process and coordinated activity. To ensure success in this role, the manager must build credibility, trust, confidence and relationships across the business, leading to finding buying cycles to position a defined outcome to the client.
The main and critical success measurement for this role is to achieve annual the assigned annual quota in product solutions, professional services and maintenance, which can be sold as either on premise, hybrid or private cloud

Key Responsibilities

- To sell the portfolio of Avaya products to end-user customers in assigned accounts
- Maintains full accountability for assigned accounts and serves as customer's trusted advisor and advocate, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and protecting the interests of both the customer and Avaya
- Maximizes opportunities by driving the customer planning process, leading virtual account teams in building strategies that deliver balanced growth, continued account penetration, and customer satisfaction, and developing forecasts based on short and longer term growth
- Maintains long term strategic partnerships at the executive level by ensuring that key executives clearly understand how Avaya solutions meet their business needs
- Serves as key client contact for all customers and introduces specialists and/or Partners based on strategic sales activities
- Conduct short and long term strategic account planning to enhance the quality of the sales pipeline, accelerate and maximize revenue generation and, as a trusted advisor, improve the customer buying experience

Experience, Skills and Attributes

- A demonstrated track record of reaching and exceeding sales targets
- Demonstrated ability to source leads and generate sales opportunities
- Possess excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Sound judgment; willingness to make independent decisions based on logic and common sense
- Ability to multi task and produce accurate high quality work
- Proactive and energetic can do attitude

5+ Years of Experience
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Master Degree is preferred
