Description

The Cloud Operations Analyst is a critical role designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our global CloudOps team. You will be the go-to person for data analysis, performance reporting, and operational support. Your primary mission is to transform raw operational data into actionable insights that will drive strategic decision-making, optimize cloud costs, and improve the reliability of our cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust dashboards and reports in Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Automate the collection and aggregation of data from multiple sources (e.g., Confluence, Datadog, cloud provider logs).
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to CloudOps leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the FinOps team to monitor, analyze, and report on cloud spending.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for cost optimization and resource efficiency.
  • Assist in tracking the financial impact of CloudOps initiatives.
  • Support incident management by providing timely data analysis to help identify root causes.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of operational playbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Track and report on the status of deployments, maintenance activities, and other operational tasks.
  • Help manage team tools and access, ensuring compliance with security standards.

 

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role.Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets and BI tools, (Looker, BigQuery, Power BI), for creating insightful dashboards and reports.Strong SQL skills for querying and extracting data from various databases.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Strong ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Familiarity with fundamental cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working within a Business Operations, CloudOps, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) environment.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools.Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python) for data automation tasks.
  • Understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost management.Experience working in a fast-paced, agile, and globally distributed team.
