Avaya architects our systems to be highly available, fault tolerant and distributed from the ground up. We invest deeply in reliability improvements to support our scale and business criticality of our solutions in public cloud, private cloud, on-premise and hybrid offers. Operational automation, testing, performance improvement and solution integration is critical to the success of our solutions. We are looking to expand our team with solution integration engineers who have an appetite for hands-on experiences with the latest technologies with a curiosity to explore problem resolutions that can help to advance the functionality of our platforms from a customer perspective, all with an obsession for solution quality. In this role your professional network could reach all corners of the globe as you interact with subject matters experts from many areas of the business who share the common goal of delivering first class customer satisfaction. To be successful in this role you:

•    Are expected to be creative, technically astute, highly motivated and an excellent team player.
•    Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•    Will identify unusual technical problems with Avaya Solutions and escalate for resolution
•    Will provide support to customer and account teams to understand customer issues and respond to customer problems in a timely manner.
•    Will interact with all associated CCaaS development teams to input to architecture decisions, logging, serviceability, observability & integrations with internal & external solution customizations.
 

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES


The responsibilities in this role range from solution component integration to influencing architecture and development decisions. These include but are not limited to:

•    Having experience with systems and solutions integration.
•    Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
•    A keen interest in application deployment, integration & support with very strong problem-solving abilities.
•    Strong level of curiosity to chase problems through to diagnosis & resolution through collaboration with developers.
•    Willingness to represent the customer view in all internal discussions.
•    Represent the company in all externally facing engagements.
 

ABOUT YOU


EXPERIENCE

•    Strong, demonstrable, proven experience with production Cloud SaaS solutions with knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
•    Demonstratable leadership both individually and within team settings
•    5+ years in solutions integration roles
•    Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
•    Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

•    Experience working on reactive real-time distributed systems that are built on cloud technology stack
•    Experience using cloud native technologies - ideally having experience with both on-premise and hybrid deployments
•    Experience with hosted Kubernetes distributions and hosted platform/container services
•    Understanding of microservice architecture patterns for highly available and scalable systems
•    Solutions integration curiosity to generate thought provoking questions to challenge architecture and development subject matter experts
•    You are innovative, decisive, and product-driven; a quick learner, self-starter, and confident presenter
•    You have high energy and a clear passion for the role, products and Customers you represent 
•    You are a strategic thinker who can drive cross functional features across a larger solution
•    Ability to communicate with all levels within the company

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

•    This opportunity is a full-time role with opportunities to work flexibly remotely. 
•    There may be opportunities to travel to customer sites to assist in complex Day 0 deployment integrations and subsequently support Day 1 operations to fulfill customer commitments.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

•    Public cloud certification (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous
•    8+ years related industry experience
•    Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field
