About the Responsibilities

The DevOps Senior manager will be responsible for a team delivering key SaaS Avaya offers already in the market as well as upcoming programs. This individual will  manage multiple Scrum teams focused on designing, developing and continually improving Infrastructure as Code (IasC) required by the supported programs as well as being applying experience on key operational aspects like availability, latency, monitoring, and monitoring.
Avaya is looking for a strong senior manager to help share our next step in customer engagement.

 

  • Manage the DevOps capability (structured team)  in region and manage that team’s objectives
  • Drive deliveries and lead the teams that define, review, and consult on networking and Kubernetes cloud deployment architecture in Azure & GCP
  • Manage the teams that design, and implement reusable Terraform modules for Kubernetes deployment in Azure & GCP
  • Proactively Collaborate with multiple Avaya development organizations and implement best practices

About the Requirements

  • Fluent written and spoken English , strong communication skills
  • 5 years + experience managing  Devops teams
  • Strong Engineering background and is Proficient in cloud computing (Azure & GCP experience preferred).
  • Experience working on cloud IaaS, PaaS or SaaS products.
  • Experience using cloud platforms and/or containerized application deployments.
  • Experience delivering complex, large scale and critical products with business impact.
  • Experience interfacing and integrating across multiple engineering areas and groups.
  • Experienced in Kubernetes deployment in cloud environments (GKE, AKS experience preferred).
  • Personally managed teams that designed and deployed Kubernetes and related cloud services (e.g. monitoring, alarming, access control) multiple times using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform experience preferred).
  • Good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform experience preferred).
  • Good knowledge of the  CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins) to trigger Infrastructure as Code pipelines.
