To help us build and configure functional systems that improve user experience we are now looking for an experienced Contact Center System Management Senior Software Design Engineer. The individual will be responsible for designing, coding, and development testing of capabilities that permit our solutions to meet our customers' needs. If you have a solid background in administration server software engineering and are familiar with software design, we’d love to speak with you.
The software engineer will be part of an organization responsible for key Avaya cloud product offers already in the market as well as upcoming programs. The individual will join scrum teams to be a hands-on contributor with focus on designing, developing and continually improving the administration of new and existing applications.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and develop management services for public and private cloud solutions
• Evaluate cutting edge cloud technologies and frameworks, with a drive towards adoption by creating proof-of-concepts
• Participate in design, coding, reviews, testing, documentation, deployment, and support; be a hands-on scrum team member
• Collaborate to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to build scalable and performant distributed applications
ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE
• Demonstrable experience with general contact center administration
• Demonstrable experience with source code management using git
• Demonstrable experience with continuous integration and delivery
• Demonstrable experience with microservices design and implementation
• Demonstrable experience with event driven and API-first application development
• Demonstrable experience with cloud platforms
• Experience with REST web services design and implementation is beneficial
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Programming skills in Java or equivalent
• Programming skills in web-based browser administration screens
• Strong development and debugging skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals
• Astute, willing to share and collaborate, always ready to learn
• Exhibit flexibility and an ability to think creatively in a way that identifies solutions to problems
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
• 8+ years of experience
