About the Opportunity

Avaya is expanding its public cloud team, with focus on forming modern cloud first development teams to create communication platforms that allow customers to design the CX journey of their choice.  We are seeking energetic and self-motivated individuals that have the knack to innovate and work on conceptual solutions and take them to reality. You will have the freedom to develop new processes and bring fresh ideas to the table, while receiving the support and guidance from an experienced management team.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Avaya CCaaS Architects on the Intelligent Automation program in researching and evaluating new concepts and ideas to enable cloud automation, scalability, correction and efficient operation.
  • Experienced with BOT development on Google Dialogflow.
  • Creating rapid prototypes including end-to-end development and testing of software bots using Automation Anywhere tool set along with integration with OCR (Kofax) and Cognitive capabilities using Azure, Google and other AI products for end to end automation of the business process
  • Ability to build prototypes and systems with knowledge of all steps within the design process: conception, planning, initiation, and implementation.
  • Analyze source data, working with structured and unstructured data (internal and external data).
  • Ability to develop advanced models and interpret model results.
  • Collaborate with team members across numerous departments within Avaya to ensure successful delivery.
  • Display a business mindset and truly understand how your work impacts the intended customers.
  • Maintain a flexible mindset and work style, delivering solutions regardless of development methodology, and being opened to ever-shifting priorities.
Skills, Experience & Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript, or Go).
  • Experience with Cloud technology (Azure & Google) and designing solutions that leverage its unique advantages.
  • Experience with modern technologies such as Docker, Azure AKS, Google Cloud Vision API, TensorFlow etc.
  • Has experience in integrating with 3rd party web APIs.
  • Experience implementing software using microservices and containers.
  • Understanding of both relational and modern databases and corresponding query language.
  • Relevant work experience in software development related to Conversational AI and Intelligent Automation.
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.
  • Skilled in socializing technical architectures among customer organization within Business, IT and operations
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills are also required. The architect must work with the PMO team to make decisions in a timely manner to keep projects on track.
  • Knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale, business centric and process based applications.
  • Design ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system for advanced analytics and data management solutions.
  • Knowledge of different database technology MSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Cache.
  • Knowledge of Customer engagement technology via Voice, Video communications and data network requirements for optimal performance, Data Network & Video certificates is a Bonus
  • Good to have 2-3 Avaya or other vendor with communication background, experience in the techniques that lead to, the production and design of complex Avaya Communication systems. Including, requirements discovery and analysis, formulation of solution context, identification of solution alternatives and their assessment, technology selection, and design configuration.
