To be successful in this role as a Senior Software Developer, you will be part of an agile oriented product team. You will discuss solutions with peer Senior Developers, Developers and Software Architects, estimate the effort required and own its implementation. You will participate in code reviews and use the opportunity to coach other team members. You will be developing a cloud-oriented product, with high capacity and scalability requirements. You will identify risks and issues, and work with the software architects to resolve them.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES     
•    Own feature development through the development lifecycle
•    Identify opportunities for improving work methodology
•    Support and mentor other team members, creating a healthy work environment
•    Timely communicate risks and deviations
•    Contributes to an open and transparent workspace
•    Provide input to customer documentation, knowledge transfer and training materials
•    Support customer escalations as necessary related to areas of ownership
•    Contribute to the architectural evolution for areas of ownership to improve performance, reduce downtime and enhance customer satisfaction

ABOUT YOU


EXPERIENCE

•    Demonstratable debugging and system analysis skills.
•    Proven experience consuming and producing APIs & SDKs.
•    Proven experience in Network Programming.
•    Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker and associated cloud techs.
•    Experience using Public Cloud platforms. 
•    Exposure to Automation & testing frameworks.
•    Working with CI/CD pipelines.
•    Exposure to Agile Methodologies
•    Excellent programming skills with a track record in developing highly available real time applications
•    5-8 years experience


SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

•    Java/GO
•    Exposure to GIT and Jenkins an advantage
•    Comfortable moving between front, middle and backend.
•    Knowledge/Experience in Contact Centre and/or voice/digital communications an advantage
•    Knowledge/Experience in API definition/development an advantage
•    Knowledge/Experience in developing applications that can be targeted at both cloud and on-premise deployment an advantage
•    Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask.
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate details and collaborate effectively
•    You are self-driven and take on responsibility; When issues arise, you can proactively pull people together to solve them.
•    Excellent facilitation and reporting skills, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

•    Avaya offers a Hybrid working model(part Office and part Remote).

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

•    Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
