ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY


A Full Stack Engineer is required to join a 6-person software development team within a complex software development project. This is an opportunity to join a project at the ground level which consists of the development of real time communications applications for the Collaboration market space in enterprise environments.  
 

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES


Responsibilities Include:
 

The design, coding and testing of front end/back end software for a cloud based application for voice/video messaging and collaboration software running in Google Cloud Platform. This product is designed to work with a number of products within Avaya’s cloud ecosystem. The candidate will be responsible for developing new features from requirements as well as providing bugfixes for reported issues. This position will require working closely with software designers, technical writers, product managers and technical support engineers, as well as with other members of the QA team.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS


The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience:

•    Minimum 2 years demonstratable experience developing back-end software in Nodejs and front-end software in Reactjs. 
•    Good written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
•    Teamwork
•    Resourcefulness & ability to grasp new concepts quickly
•    Ability to analyse software logs to debug issues
•    Ability to pay attention to details

 

The candidate possessing these additional skills/experience would be considered:

•    Experience with telephony applications and Google Cloud Platform
•    Previous experience in a software development company

 

Education/Experience:

  • Completion of Engineering or Computer Science degree program
