Short Description
Oversees IT operations services such as helpdesk, systems, databases and/or applications. Participates in teams who closely manage local IT services and 3rd party service providers in alignment with corporate policy and IT strategy. Ensures they provide 'best in class' services to the end users and that procedures are standardized and aligned with industry best practice and the IT Information Library framework. Ensures they are working within the service management guidelines for incident, problem, and change management. Partners with business leaders and/or project development teams to obtain/develop the business requirements and future business development plans and to translate them into IT solutions/services. May have any of the following responsibilities: oversees one or many IT services acting as service manager responsible for lifecycle of the IT service; consults at the highest technical level with business area and IT management and staffs regarding the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of efficient and cost effective end user applications, systems, hardware and software packages, enterprise-wide network/systems, and IT Services; implements effective end user computing applications and PC/Workstation based LAN systems; analyzes complex systems operational problems or malfunctions, and takes corrective action and coordinates corrective action with system engineering or vendors; oversees the coordination and operations of a large complex Infrastructure and Services and all its components; forecasts system demands and recommends upgrades, expansions and reconfigurations; oversees the development and implementation of voice communication systems. Projects are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult, often involving the integration of multiple end user systems and applications. Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed by senior management. Anticipates and identifies complex business needs and recommends solutions to complex problems.
