ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Avaya is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. 10 years + experience in this field required.

 

  • Expense Performance Management and Business Partner Support
  • Define and communicate portfolio metrics, dashboards and reporting that track and measure financial expense performance.
  • Partner with line management to execute expense action plans that deliver on financial commitments.
  • Solve problems and influence outcomes through the application of financial concepts and operational expertise. 
  • Know the numbers and manage the financial story.
  • Create and Maintain Financial Models for Expense Planning and Forecasting
  • Create and maintain independent financial models to validate line manager roll-ups.  
  • Ensure early identification of expense risks and opportunities.
  • Synchronize expense forecasts and plans with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Provide Business Case Support for Investment Analysis and modeling for ad hoc projects.
  • Drive Business Analysis and Decision Support for Executive Consumption
  • Provide clear and logical “so what” / “now what” / “If then” analyses.
  • Maintain a driver-based bridge package to explain key variances.
  • Provide “Left to Go” analytics and metrics to manage expectations around near-term performance.
  • Develop clear portfolio driven investment analytics – What are we spending our investment $’s on?
  • Maintain Processes & Fiduciary Controls to Secure Timely and Accurate Financial Statements
  • Coordinate monthly outlook, annual planning, and ad hoc re-planning cycles.
  • Conduct periodic expense business reviews to evaluate performance. 
  • Establish and maintain a formal expense reporting and information management process. 
  • Establish and maintain expense controls and procedures in line with corporate policies.
     

ABOUT YOU

 

  • BS Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.  
  • 10+ years relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously completing assignments given aggressive time constraints.
  • Flexible, team-oriented approach to issues
  • Proficient in all productivity tools (SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion/Essbase)

 

COMPENSATION

The pay range for this opportunity is from $89,100 to $120,300 + performance-related bonus + benefits

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
